After 10 years away in the military, Shaun Truent is back and making
music again. Starting in the mid 1990's singing lead vocals for the
great New York City Punk band The Truents, he's now joined by Carlos
C. (also of Truents fame) on guitar, along with past/current members
of another long running NYC Punk act The Krays, with Johnny Kray
heading over to drums, BJ Abuse on bass and Albee Damned on 2nd
guitar.
All being great friends, and now veterans of the NYC punk scene, the
group has quickly begun playing a string a shows in and around New
York, as well as writing and recording a bunch of new songs. The first
batch of which will be available early 2012. A natural progression of
the now defunct Truents, we feel Suspect Device is more driving (owing
to the Krays making up the majority of the rhythm section!) and a
great vehicle for Shaun to continue to write his great lyrics. And for
old fans of the Truents, or NYC Punk in general, it's a chance to get
a taste of that fire from the old days while being able to hear and
experience new and great songs in the future

TEARS OF FRUSTRATION started in New Jersey back in 1995 as Joe Falzone doing Guitar/Vocals , Chris O’brien on Bass, and Joe Colavito aka ‘Foot’ on Drums. We recruited Justin Torrento on Guitar and recorded our first demo in 1995. By 1996 Chris O’Brien and Justin Torrento were replaced by Chris Lindstrom on Bass and Chris Kent on Guitar. By 1997 we recorded 2 separate 7” records which were released on CD as our first official ‘Self-Titled’ release. We recruited Anthony ‘Tony Rob’ Pellegrino on Guitar in 1998 and recorded a full length CD called ‘Lost Identity’ in 1999. In the year 2000 we broke up. We’ve reunited twice since then, once in 2006 at CBGB’s, and once in 2008 for the Black And Blue Bowl. We played many times with Step2Far back in the 1990’s and look forward to playing with them again. Thanks Frank for inviting us to play. Our line-up for this show is as follows:
Joe Falzone aka ‘Joe Frustration’ on Vocals
Joe Colavito aka ‘Foot’ on Drums
Chris Lindstrom on Guitar
Anthony ‘Tony Rob’ Pellegrino on Guitar
Chris O’Brien on Bass

Step2far began in the spring of 1992. CBGB was not having hardcore matinees due to the violence. There was still a few of the 80s HC bands still going strong, but the shows had been few and far between. Late 80s NYHC is the style we like to play. The bands that have influenced us over the years - AGNOSTIC FRONT, MURPHYS LAW, CRO MAGS, WARZONE (Raybeez was a big help when we first started out in 92) GBH, DISCHARGE, BURN, JUDGE, BOLD, SOIA, RAW DEAL, LEEWAY, BLACK FLAG, FEAR, YUPPICIDE, SFA, REJUVINATE, etc... you know, real street music.

Formed in 1991, the BROKEN HEROES are a New Jersey based band. Once complete, they hit the ground running. Playing many shows and shutting down most of those shows. The aggression that you expect from an oi!-punk band was prominant in BROKEN HEROES. It was a time when punk was still only cool to those that really loved it. (Not the whole entire friggin commercial world!) "The Pipeline", in Newark ...New Jersey, was their regular venue with other Jersey bands like Niblick Henbane, Those Unknown, The Wretched Ones, Headwound and many more. Each of these bands, as did the fans, created a scene that kept BROKEN HEROES alive.

It started when George and Raul were playing reunion shows with Steel Toe Solution. They both got the itch to keep playing. And while STS isn't doing too many shows, they started to talk about a new project. We put the word out and along came Les. An amazing bass player and has been a part of the punk world for years.
Then, Pete, from Turnpike Wrecks and a friend for over 15 years said that h...e wanted to play. Pete then recruited T.W. drummer Dave and the new band was complete.
George, Raul, and Les already had a few songs written so the first practice went really well. over the next few weeks, we kept writing. The band was getting tighter. the guys really "clicked" as musicians. Then George got a call to play our first show, (with Hub City Stompers) it went great.
So here we are now, We are going to be writing more songs and then start to record them for a CD. We are always looking to play out. So if you want to hear some really good Oi, Hardcore, .... come check us out.

After many years of playing in various bands stretching from New Hampshire to New York to Kansas City – Schweinehund’s four members came together to deliver their refreshing and raw take on punk rock. Incorporating varied musical tastes and styles as well as the sound of four different voices, the band has been making a name in the scene quickly in their short existence. The band delivers their sets with the same raw energy that the band name’s literal translation conjures up– Schweinehund means “Pig Dog” in German. The band plans to release an EP in late 2012.
