Screeching Weasel

Making enemies and irritating people since 1986!

Screeching Weasel started in 1986, a few weeks after Ben Weasel saw the Ramones play. It's really too bad that more bands today can't boast such proper beginnings, because we could all use a little more "Hey Ho!" and a little less MySpace.

With the help of the seminal punk label, Lookout Records, the band went on to produce one of the genre's most impressive catalogs; records like Boogadaboogadaboogada, Anthem For A New Tomorrow, and the tremendously influential My Brain Hurts. Because of the huge impression they made on the scene many consider them synonymous with pivotal bands such as Jawbreaker, Fugazi, Operation Ivy, and Green Day.

Just as those bands had their distinctions, SW will always be defined by their signature traits: buzzsaw guitars, double-time beats, antagonistic lyrics, and snotty melodies. Such is their legacy. The band went on lotsa tours, went through lotsa bassists (Green Day's Mike Dirnt, among them), drank lotsa beer, had lotsa break-ups, and thankfully, lotsa reunions.

Down By Law
Down By Law

Down by Law is a punk rock band formed in 1989 by former All frontman Dave Smalley, who is the only permanent member. The band has recorded 7 studio albums. They stayed on Epitaph Records until 1998 and have since switched to other labels. Down by Law has never achieved substantial commercial success, but a number of largely popular acts cite them as influential. After several lineup changes, the band went on hiatus from touring and recording in 2003, but resurfaced in 2008 before beginning work on new material and embarking on their first tour in six years in 2009.

The Huntingtons
The Huntingtons

The Huntingtons are a punk band from Baltimore, Maryland which formed in 1993-1994 in the Maryland/Delaware area by Cliff Powell (aka Cliffy Huntington), Mike Holt (aka Mikey Huntington) and Mike Pierce (aka Mikee Huntington). The band is heavily influenced by The Ramones.

Furious George

Furious George is a punk rock band on Lookout Records and later, Recess Records. Fronted by George Tabb, it also included Evan Cohen(and later, Stevie "Ramone" Burkes) on bass guitar and Michael Harper on drums. Furious George released two full-length albums: Gets a Record in 1997, and V.M. Live in 1999, as well as a series of singles and EPs. George Tabb's band played as the character Richie's (Adrien Brody) punk band in the Spike Lee film Summer of Sam, released in 1999. Dee Dee Ramone and Joey Ramone have provided guest vocals on some of the band's work.
