If you claim to be well versed in punk history, you would certainly know that H2O are one of New York's premiere melodic hardcore punk acts. For more than half a decade now, the NYC quintet have been blasting their specific blend of hardcore energy and pop-friendly melody all around the globe to fans of all kinds of music. H2O have found favor with everybody from the hardcore elite to the mainstream enthusiast. One main reason for this universal appeal is the band's attitude towards touring and playing live.

Performing an average of 200 shows a year, no one can accuse this hardened bunch of road warriors of not playing it to the bone. After performing with such varied acts as Pennywise, No Doubt, The Misfits and the band that gave them their first break, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, H2O have accumulated fans all over the world. Through it all, H2O pride themselves on keeping close ties to their fans. The band members answer all their mail personally and can usually be found hanging out in the crowd after their shows. H2O makes it a point to stay grounded. This closeness to their fans is what gives an H2O show its characteristic unified vibe.

Murphy's Law
Murphy's Law
Riding the fine line between skatepunk and sodden metal, Murphy's Law came out of New York City's mid-'80s hardcore scene and formed in Astoria, Queens, around vocalist Jimmy Gestapo, but the group's frequently shifting lineup also included guitarists Todd Youth, Alex Morris, and Jack Flanagan; bassists Pete Martinez, Chuck Valle, and Dean; and drummers Doug E. Beans and Eric Arce. The group's self-titled debut, released on Profile in 1986, contained the usual '80s subjects (boredom, alienation, weed, beer, etc.), but the songs were definitely there, and Murphy's Law improved even more with their second album, 1989's Back with a Bong! The band was on the Profile-associated Combat Records for 1991's The Best of Times, but recorded little during the early '90s. In 1995, Murphy's Law came back with the EP Good for Now, and the full-length Dedicated arrived the following year. Best of Times/Good for Now was issued in 2000; The Party's Over came next in the spring of 2001.
The Last Stand
The Last Stand
"This band came together for two reasons in 2010 - the first was for the love of Hardcore”, says vocalist Michael Scondotto. “The other was to have fun playing with friends, who are more like an extended family. In the tradition of the many bands that came before us and continue to inspire us, The Last Stand hopes to carry the torch and show the world that New York Hardcore is alive and as vital as ever. We are very happy and excited to be releasing “The Time Is Now” on Eulogy Recordings, a label we have all admired and respected over the years.”
